Gary, at what PSI are you spraying your control coat at. For some reason, I find the Sata Jet uses too much air pressure there fore the final result looks blotchy where you can see the blend out.

I would not say you are too fussy Gary, you know the result you are looking for. That to me is NOT fussy. Please let me know what psi you are spraying your control coat at.

Thanks Gary, hopefully we can get this resolved for you very soon.

Cheers,

~Mike.

Hey Jeff, at what air pressure are you spraying at and do you use a wet bed before applying your base coat?

I have a trick to blending out silvers and golds. Instead of blending out your metallics straight out, cut out the blend on an angle. Start at the top of the panel and spray out the control coat downwards on an angle. This will eliminate you or the customer seeing the blend.

Hope that helps out Jeff,

Cheers,

Thanks,

I have been told that it has a shelf life of two years unopened. I would get your information from the paint rep and not the booth or dryer reps. I would ask your paint rep to make sure you have the correct information.

Thanks Z,

Thanks a lot for getting back to me! I can't wait to see how this stuff comes out of an airbrush. I am intrigued with this type of paint for sure. I see that this can be in our future with the world 'going green' and will be something I would consider offering. I've seen in the custom paint forums that it's gaining momentum as a popular choice in custom paint applications and I hope I can jump on this. Your site has a lot of informatino, thanks.
